SUPERIOR HARDWOODS OFFICE The client desired a dramatic design which fit into the surrounding character. However, the design also had to withstand dramatic shifts in weather as is common in the Midwest, while still requiring low maintenance. Utilizing simple shed and gable roof forms expressively borrowed from its vernacular counterparts, PNA uniquely arranged the elements to give Superior Hardwoods Office a distinctive look that maintained a connection to that very setting. Using standing seam metal for these roofs was an important decision because it reinforced the design while meeting or exceeding the functional requirements set by the owner.
